We invite you to take our bodē Basics workshop to learn the fundamentals our practices. This workshop will help ensure you have the tools you need to practice safely in any of our class offerings.You’ll receive a short explanation of each class, tips on how to handle classes in a heated room and will be shown modifications of any postures or exercises you may struggle with.
At the end of the workshop everyone will have the opportunity to ask specific questions about their own challenges. This workshop is great for beginners who are new to our studio and also for regular practitioners who want to make sure they fully understand the poses or exercises correctly.
In this class we will cover the following:
Original Hot Yoga method
Pranayama- first breathing exercise
Standing head to knee with modifications
C curve spine
Hot bodē Flow
Upward facing dog
This class will take place in a moderately heated room.

Yoga Alliance CEC Certificate will be issued upon completion of training.
This insightful 40hr training will bring a clear understanding to the effects and benefits of a yin practice. Looking at the inseparability of the mind and body through a fascial lens and the effects of daily stress on our systems, we’ll explore how to structure a yin class to enhance a greater bio-mechanical movement function while bringing greater wellness to our minds, and our physical and energetic body.
Covered in this course:
· The history of Yin yoga and the connection to the theories of John Barnes’ Myofascial Release™ and Hans Seyle’s Stress Adaptation.
· Anatomy as it pertains to a yin practice further enhanced with a 3D visual program, with hands on work to experience the fascial body.
· Class structure, use of voice and use of props.
· Technique, practice and teaching practicum will be done throughout
the course to ensure a solid understanding of material.

For New Yogis
This private is designed for anyone who has never tried yoga or Hot Yoga before.
Our experienced teachers will give you a general understanding of the benefits of yoga and walk you through the Bikram Method series of postures. The instructor will address any individual concerns you may have whether it be due to a physical limitation from injury or concerns about the heat in the room. Based on your personal needs, you will be given modifications of postures (if needed) as well as tips on how to handle the heat in the regular group class.
The New Yogi private session will only be moderately heated in order for you to be comfortable and adapt to the feeling of the heat while working through the postures. After you have attended one New Yogi private session you will most likely be ready to attend a regular class. However, based on your personal needs, you and your instructor may decide that another private session could be beneficial.

Grow Your Practice
This private is recommended for yogis who have been practicing for a while and feel they might be doing some postures incorrectly or that they’re not getting the full benefits of a particular pose. Our teachers do their best to give individual and group corrections, however, it will never be the same as a one-on-one session where you have the ability to address all of your concerns. You may also need certain modifications that are specific your own body.
In group classes the direction from the teacher is more on a general level and by practicing regularly you will in time understand how to do all the poses properly. However, in just one private session you will reduce that time and make quicker progress. With more confidence in your ability to perform the postures correctly, you will be that much closer to experiencing and enjoying the true benefits of yoga such as the meditative benefits.

Advanced Techniques- Focus on personalized goals
This private is for clients who have a very strong understanding of the postures and are looking to bring their practice to a more advanced level. You will be instructed by one of our more senior teachers or yoga champions who can teach you how to prepare for some of the advanced postures in the series. After your session you will be able to work on some of the advanced postures in class that will satisfy your desire to be more challenged. You will also feel more comfortable to join one of our intermediate classes.

Hot Vinyasa Basics
This private class is recommended for those who are new to Vinyasa-style yoga. It will focus on the basics of Vinyasa such as how to properly execute a plank, chattaranga, downward dog and upward dog. The instructor will also offer modifications in these areas as well as several other postures in the flow.

Overcoming Injuries and Health Concerns
This private is specifically designed for clients with injuries or physical limitations. Traditional Hot Yoga greatly alleviates pain and helps heal many ailments including (but not limited to) back, knee, neck, elbow and wrist pain. This class is also recommended for people with other medical issues such as obesity, arthritis and diabetes.

This private is for clients who want to personally customize a lesson. You may just want to be challenged while doing an entire class or you may need a class time that best suits your busy schedule.

We offer custom private classes to suit a variety of needs including:
Group Privates – Bachelorette parties, birthday parties, team building events, etc.
Hot HIIT Private – This private is for clients interested in a one-on-one or small group High Intensity Interval Training class. Our HH Instructor will work with you on the alignment of specific exercises and give modifications (as needed) for you body.

Yin Nidra Private – Work one-on-one with one of our Yin Nidra instructors. You will be given tips on working into tight areas as well as any needed modifications.

An extra HOT or extra Cool class – tailor the temperature gage to you.
This private class will be conducted by teachers who are familiar with the pregnancy series. If you are new to Traditional Hot Yoga it is advised to wait until you pass your first trimester. After that there are modifications to the poses that will make you feel comfortable participating in the regular class. You will also be given a free book or video with your private class for future reference while supplies last. There have been many clients who have practiced Hot Yoga throughout their pregnancy and they would be happy to discuss the experience with you.

60 Minute Private (1-2 people)
Valid for 60 minutes of one-on-one instruction in a heated or non-heated room. Includes mat, towels and purified water.

90 Minute Private (1-2 people)
Valid for 90 minutes of one-on-one instruction in a heated or non-heated room. Includes mat, towels and purified water.
Group Privates (3-10 people)
Valid for 60 or 90 minutes of instruction for 3-10 people in a heated or non-heated room. Includes mat, towels and purified water. $25 per person above 10 people.

The bodē nyc™ Karma Program is inspired by Karma Yoga. Karma Yoga is the Yoga of work and action, as a spiritual offering without attachment to results or hoarding the benefits for oneself. We come together every day to practice Hatha Yoga, sometimes with as many as 40 strangers. As we continue to practice we learn that we have something very powerful in common: a quest for our best self.
Our Karma Yoga Program is looking for like-minded yogis interested in nurturing a positive and mindful environment at bodē nyc™ through work and action. We also understand that yoga can be a luxury that not everyone can afford and this programs allows those who deeply desire to improve their practice but are financially challenged, to still be involved and be part of the our community.
Karma Yogis commit to 3 hours of service per week for a least 3 months. These hours are spent helping around the studio in whatever way necessary: often cleaning, helping check in classes, and assisting the manager and owners with various projects. We require that you have practiced for at least three weeks prior to applying to the program.
Our goal is to create a “home away from home” where Good Karma is as natural as breathing.
