Zak first stepped into the hot room in 2012 and has been a part of the bodē nyc community ever since. He fell in love with the traditional 26/2 practice and ditched the gym, swimming, and running making yoga his primary source of fitness. With lots of hard work and dedication, he found mental and physical strength he never knew he had and was able to translate that into a vast array of experiences which led him to teach at bodē nyc. He managed the UWS and Midtown locations, has sold high end residential real estate, and worked as a museum consultant which allowed him to travel the country spreading his love of science, art and history to the masses. With the rebranding of bodē nyc, Zak rekindled his love for Vinyasa, discovered the benefits and fun of Hot HIIT®, and realized he had to focus more on what brings joy to his life. In a way, he rebranded himself. He became certified to teach Vinyasa and Hot HIIT®, refocused his passion for performing and never looked back! Zak believes that yoga and Hot HIIT® should be challenging and fun. He pushes and cheers on his students to go to their personal edge, build strength and flexibility that they never knew they had, and hopefully smile at least once, if not more, during class- all while sweating it out to some sweet jams from today and back in the day that offer something for everyone.
