Maura Duignan began practicing yoga in February 2009. After years of running competitively and playing soccer, Maura began suffering from right hip injuries after running the NYC Marathon in 2008. She was looking for a solution to help her and found Bikram yoga. She quickly became a dedicated yogi and continues to appreciate the physical, mental and emotional benefits it provides. Maura ran the NYC marathon again in 2018 injury free. Maura completed Bikram Yoga College of India, Teacher Training in 2012, the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health training in 2018 and Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra training in 2018. Maura receives inspiration from her students every class and loves being part of the yoga community.
