Kyla was raised in New Jersey and moved to New York City in 2007 to attend Marymount Manhattan College for Theater Performance. In 2009 Kyla walked into her first Bikram Class at Bikram Yoga NYC UES. Little did she know that six years later she would be teaching class in that very room. Kyla fell in love with the practice and the challenge to show up day after day and remain present with herself. It wasn’t until Kyla found herself in the hot room more than the audition room that she knew it was time to get her certification. She completed Teacher Training Spring 2015 in Thailand. Kyla strives to inspire and encourage students to discover happiness and self love every time they step on their mat.
This practice can be intimidating! It’s hot, there are tons of poses, instructions, rules and other people! Kyla enjoys teaching privates because they give students the opportunity to explore the postures at their own pace! Kyla loves to work with new students, students working through an injury or students who simply want to learn proper alignment. Kyla is incredibly patient and loves to share her practice and knowledge with students one on one.
