Sound Meditation with Abigail Devine
Join bodē nyc Flatiron and Abigail Devine April 28th for our monthly Sound Meditation.
What is a Sound Bath/Meditation:
The Devine Sound Meditation is a fully immersive sound listening experience. It has been used for centuries as a healing technique for the body, mind and spirit. The sounds move the brain into deeper Alpha and Theta brain wave frequencies, inducing meditative and peaceful states that allow for clarity of mind and intuition. It’s often described as relaxing, cleansing, meditative, purifying, and a way to connect with oneself. You’ll lay still on the floor with your eyes closed, and allow for the vibration of sound to move through you.
What to wear:
You should wear comfortable, relaxed clothing.
What you can expect:
You will experience and feel the sound vibrations move through your body, and you can expect to experience feelings of release. It has also been described as cleansing, purifying, and heart opening. Often people say that they feel calm, relaxed, meditative, emotional, rejuvenated, elevated, connected, peaceful, and transformed. Physical benefits can range from stress and anxiety reduction, blood pressure reduction, improved circulation, improved sleep, and relieving repressed or blocked energies.
