With so many new classes added recently, we wanted to include a roundup of everything happening this December at Bikram Yoga NYC. Special events include Pamela Herron’s Sun Center Workshop on December 3rd and Chrystine Cooper’s Winter Solstice class on December 21st.
Now offered in 60, 75 and 90 minute durations, all of our classic Bikram Method classes include each of the 26 postures and two breathing exercises and are suitable for yogi’s of all levels!
Exclusively at Bikram yoga NYC, Hot HIIT Pilates is a training system that combines High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and Pilates principles in a in a room heated to around 100 degrees. The practice creates long lean muscle mass while burning fat, with rapid results.
Yin yoga postures are designed to open up the body by prolonged holds of deep stretching techniques – typically between 1 to 5 minutes in length. The second part of the class, Yoga Nidra, builds upon the relaxed physical and mental state from the preceding Yin postures.
Recommended for students with a strong Bikram Yoga foundation, our Intermediate Class uses the strong physical and mental focus learned in the beginning series as the foundation to lead us to a more advanced yoga practice. This class offers students techniques for moving deeper into familiar postures from the beginner’s class, as well as learning new postures and developing new abilities.
In the past, Chrystine Cooper has led a monthly event called Chillax. Starting in December we’re adding 5 weekly chillax classes to the schedule. This 90 minute Bikram Yoga class is accompanied by music for a fun and unique Bikram Yoga experience.
In this workshop Pamela will lead you into an exploration of your body, mind, and spirit. Using lecture, meditation, movement & breathing techniques to guide you to tap into your intuition, find your center, and embracing joy on a daily level, while linking the science behind these incredible tools to enhance your practice and your life.
