July 4th Week – Renovations & Cancellations

We are really excited to continue our renovations but in order to complete them in a timely fashion it will be necessary to close these studios completely to get the work done. Thank you for your patience and please use this opportunity to visit our other locations.

Flatiron Closed

Our Flatiron location at 182 5th Avenue will be closed for renovations:

  • Monday, July 3rd
  • Tuesday July 4th
  • Wednesday, July 5th – OPEN but please pardon our appearance

Midtown Closed

Our Midtown location at 797 8th Avenue will be closed for renovation:

  • Wednesday, July 5th
  • Thursday, July 6th
  • Friday, July 7th

June 2017: What’s Hot

June 1 – Reservation Cancellations

A reminder that our new cancellation window goes into effect today. Online cancellations will no longer be available less than 3 hours before a class begins. Please note that if  you are on an unlimited packages and do not cancel 3 hours in advance you will be charged a $10 fee. If you have a class class card package, not canceling before the 3 hour window will result in the loss of a class. We understand that sometimes you might be stuck at work or in transit and if so, please do your best contact us via email or phone before class.

June 10 – Family Fun Day at Just Salad

Our friends at Just Salad Upper East Side are hosting a Family Fun Day at 1471 3rd Ave (at 83rd Street – directly opposite the studio). In addition to raffles, free smoothies, Just Salad swag and more, kids under 10 eat free from Noon to 3pm. We’ve sponsored the event alongside SoulCycle and Athleta, so swing by for a chance to win some great prizes.

June 19 – Summer Schedule

As we do every year, we’re transitioning to a modified summer schedule beginning on Monday, June 19th. Please look for signs at the studios or check with a manager for more information. Please remember that your package may be used at any of our 4 Manhattan locations. We’re doing our best to accommodate everyone with the schedule, but if you have any questions or concerns please let us know. 

June 19 – Hot Vinyasa

We’re really excited to begin offering Hot Vinyasa classes starting June 19th! Hot Vinyasa is a vigorous class, combining upper body strength, flexibility and cardio and is designed for students of all levels seeking a challenge. Postures are linked together and move smoothly from one pose into the next. You will develop core strength, upper body strength, flexibility in the shoulders, legs and spine plus improved concentration in this class.

June 21 – Summer Solstice

Find your center at the Crossroads of the World! Each year, thousands of yogis from around the world travel to Times Square to celebrate the Summer Solstice with free yoga classes in the heart of New York City. On the northern hemisphere’s longest day of the year, become part of this global celebration with one of the classes taking place all day long. At a total capacity of 12,000, we have enough room in our 1:30pm class to make a world record!

Throughout the month of June we’re offering 2 Months of Unlimited classes on sale for $299. Valid through August 31st, this is the perfect package to help get ready for the summer and then stay in shape all summer long. The package is available online via our website (below), in the app or by asking at the front desk. Please note this package activates after first use (not the date of purchase) and is valid for a full 2 months after that.

Memorial Day Weekend Cancellations

Happy Memorial Day weekend!

All 4 BYNYC locations are open this weekend and Monday, Memorial Day, but we do have a few cancellations to report. To see the cancellations per studio on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, please choose a studio below to be taken to the upcoming schedule for that location.

 

Schedule Updates Week of May 14th

Mother’s Day Cancellations (5/14)

We have 4 class cancellations to report on Sunday, May 14th. The following classes are canceled:

  • Flatiron: 8am with Paul
  • Upper East Side: 2pm with Maja
  • Flatiron: 6pm with Kiara
  • Upper East Side: 7pm with Paull

Teacher Training Cancellations (5/14 – 5/20)

From May 14th through May 20th we’re hosting a week long training at our Flatiron location. The training is taking place from 7:30am until 4:30pm on Monday through Friday that week and during the morning/early afternoon hours of Saturday. Some of our regular classes will be canceled to accommodate the training. In addition, some of the training classes will be open to the public. Please check the schedule for updates.

February/March Renovation Schedule Changes

In our ongoing efforts to renovate our studios we have to cancel or move a few upcoming classes in order to allow contractors access to the studios so they can complete the work. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Thank you!

Reservations – How Waitlists Work

The class I want to take is already full! What options do I have to be automatically added to the class if someone else cancels?

When a class is full for online reservations, next to the booking button on our website, or on the confirmation screen in our app, you’ll see a message about joining the waitlist.

Joining a waitlist

On our website, start by clicking Login|Register in the top right corner of your screen. After you’ve logged in, navigate to the class you would like to take, and if the class indicates “Waitlist Only”, click Book It anyway. You will then be added waitlist.

Mobile Waitlists using our app

To be added to a waitlist using our free mobile app, start by taping the class you would like to take. From there, tap Add to Waitlist. You will then be added to the waitlist.

What Now?

So you’re on the waitlist, but now what? What number are you? How are you notified if a spot becomes available? In our mobile app, it’s as simple as refreshing the schedule or clicking “My Waitlists” – even if you’ve booked on the web. In the same row as the class you’re waitlisted for, your position in line will now be revealed.

Notifications

Our online reservation policy states that students who can not attend class must cancel their reservation least 60 minutes before class. Accordingly, notifications to individuals on the waitlist will be delivered at least 1 hour before class, or longer, depending on what time the student holding a reservation cancelled it.

1 Hour Classes at Bikram Yoga NYC

As busy New Yorkers, our time is valuable.

So valuable that it is sometimes difficult to fit a 90 minute class into your day and still meet all of your other obligations. While we do still recommend taking the full 90 minute version of the series to get 100% of the practice benefits, we’ve continued to increase our 60 and 75 minute class offerings on the schedule.
