bodē nyc is excited to be partering again with our friends at Broadway Cares Equity Fights Aids for a community class – pay what you can!

Help us give back to our community and a great cause while you practice mindfulness in a room full of yogis. This will be a 75 Minute Bikram Yoga class with a 15 Minute (optional) Yoga Nidra/Meditation afterwards.

Suggested donation: $12
Donations will be collected at the desk when you sign in.  Cash only, please.

Karma Spotlight: Stanley Lamar Mims 2

Stanley has been practicing Bikram Yoga since his first class in London in 2003.
He discovered our studio when it was Bikram Yoga NYC by seeking out high caliber instructors that have their own consistent practice in perfecting the craft of the 26 & 2 series.

Q: What do you enjoy most about being a Karma Yogi?
A: It’s Relaxing. I am more mindful. I can “Turn-Off” and “Un-Plug”.Focus on the work at the studio.

Q: How many classes a week do you take?
A: Depends on my schedule… I travel for work. I tend to practice regularly when I am London at Hot Yoga London Bridge.

Q: Have you tried our bodē  360 program? ( 3 hot yoga, 2 hot hiit, 1 yin nidra a week?)
A: It’s on my list.

Q: What profession are you in?
A: Independent Consultant

Q: What are your favorite hobbies/passions?
A: Exploring new Plant Based/Vegan Eateries, Spending time with my grandsons, traveling with my family, and travel the world, especially Northern Europe.

Hot HIIT Posture Clinic 3

Join bodē nyc and Monique Crous for a Posture Clinic followed by a special evening HOT HIIT class.

Deepen your HOT HIIT practice Saturday, March 10th. In this 90 minute posture clinic we will break down the form of all the basic exercises practiced every day in HOT HIIT. Form and correct spinal alignment for planks, side planks, glute bridges, squats, burpees, etc. will be discussed and demonstrated. Teachers will assist with personal corrections and modification suggestions will be given. You will then take your knowledge with you as you dance it out in a special 60 minute HOT HIIT class. Glow sticks provided!

What You’ll Learn:
– The correct position of your spine in different HOT HIIT exercises
– Proper foot/ankle/hip alignment
– How to perform an effective push up
– How to breathe optimally in a HOT HIIT class
– Modifications to make your practice stronger
