As a professional dancer, Charly walked into her first Bikram Yoga class in 2004 confident and with a chip on her shoulder. She walked out forever changed, humbled and ready to take on this challenging series as a daily practice. She has done just that for over a decade. Yet, it was not until 2010 when she endured a serious knee injury requiring two major surgeries that she truly grasped the healing benefits of Bikram Yoga. Unable to put weight on her leg for nearly a year, Charly began practicing in a chair and eventually became strong enough to compete in the NY Regional Asana Competition. This seemingly tragic experience propelled her to embark on a teaching career with the hopes of inspiring students to never give up. “The yoga goes way beyond the postures and physical benefits. It’s a way of maintaining mental clarity and staying physiologically sound(ish).”
Additionally, Charly finds great joy in teaching an energetic and challenging HOT HIIT class. She also likes beer.
She is available for private and semi-private Bikram Yoga sessions. Students of all levels are welcome. Furthermore, requests for group HOT HIIT classes have become increasingly popular. So plan your next party with her.
